When a sliding gate is the answer
A sliding gate runs along the inside of the boundary instead of swinging into the drive. That's why it suits a drive that rises from the road, a wide opening, or a car parked just inside.
It needs a clear, level run beside the opening at least as long as the gate, with nothing in the way. On a ground track, the rail sits in a concrete strip across the opening; keep it clear of gravel and leaves.
