Composite Garden Gates
A composite garden gate costs €400–€500 as a kit and €1,350–€1,550 made to measure. It's a pedestrian gate for the front or back garden, often in the same boards as the fence beside it.
Front and back garden gates, matching fencing, and the height rules.
Free, no obligation. One local installer prices it, not five.

Upload a photo of the side passage, garden entrance or driveway, pick the gate, the boards and the frame, and see it in about a minute. Your request goes to one gate installer who covers your county.

Step 2 of 3
Drawing your gate. This takes 20 to 50 seconds.
Your request is already through, so you can close this page if you need to.
That's an AI preview, not a drawing to build from. The installer measures the opening before pricing it.
We couldn't do this one. Some photos don't work: a clearer, wider shot in daylight usually does.
Your request is in: you'll still get a call with a price.
Front or back
Garden gates, front and back
At the front, a garden gate is part of how the house looks from the road: lower, often matched to a wall or fence of 1.2 m or less, which is the most a fence in front of the house can be without planning. At the back or side, it's about privacy and security, so a full-height gate with solid boards and a lock.
If the gate sits in a run of composite fencing, ask for the same boards and the same frame colour, so it reads as one line. A gate wants stronger posts than a fence panel: it moves, and it's pushed every day.

Questions
Questions we get asked
How much is a composite garden gate?
€400–€500 as a kit and €1,350–€1,550 made to measure, gate only.
How high can a front garden gate be?
A gate can be up to 2 m under Class 5, but a wall or fence in front of the house is limited to 1.2 m, so most front gates match that.
Can it match my composite fence?
Usually, yes: ask for the same boards and frame colour.
